Does generating 100 targeted leads a day seem like an impossible task? To some it might be. I am here to tell you today that it’s very possible.
In this post I am going to share with you a strategy of getting traffic to your web properties (squeeze pages, sales pages, websites) that you’ve probably heard many times before.
I would bet money you are probably not using this strategy as much as you should be. This strategy alone has built 7 figure businesses. Just ask Lewis Howes. From the beginning of his career (sleeping on his sister’s couch), Lewis Howes built his entire business connecting with people in his niche. That’s all he did!
Personal connections matter so much, especially if you are trying to make any kind of income in selling products and services (online or offline).
You might read this and think you know what this is all about, but today we are going to take an old method of getting traffic and put it on steroids!
I call this method The Timeless Targeted Traffic Method and you will see why in just a few…

Let’s get started with the Timeless Targeted Traffic Method and what it all means!
The Timeless Targeted Traffic (TTT) Method Concept
Let’s start by breaking down each word to make this strategy more clear.
Timeless means that it worked 20 years ago and it works today and it will work 20 years from now.
Stop and take in how awesome this is!! I love timeless methods.
The word targeted is often associated with an aim for attack but in marketing, it means people who you want your advertising and marketing to be in front of because those are the people who are most likely to buy.
If you are selling a special baby diaper, then you are going to want to target new parents with babies as opposed to elderly people or recent college graduates.
In marketing terms, every marketer needs traffic, or eyeballs on their offers (by targeted people). Just like a road has traffic, we want as many targeted people seeing our offers because at the end of the day, that will mean more buyers!
So, Timeless Targeted Traffic Method.
Now you should understand the meaning behind the words.
What Is The Timeless Targeted Traffic (TTT) Method?
Before I reveal what the method is, as soon as I say it, you are going to think you’ve heard it before and then you might click away. I urge you not to click away because you may have heard it before but we are going to take this method to the next level by the end of this blog post so just stick around until the end!
This is a method that has worked since the beginning of time. Cavemen probably used some form of this method!
It’s the act of using Groups (Facebook, Google, Linkedin), Forums, and Blog Comments to interact with people in your niche.
The overall end goal of this strategy is to ultimately get traffic to your web properties, (your squeeze pages, sales pages and websites).
The idea is you are contributing to conversations and if you say comments that are meaningful to people in your niche, they will want to find out more about you because you seem to know what you are talking about.
Facebook Pages Example
This strategy works great with Facebook Pages because you can find highly targeted pages in any niche where there are hundreds of thousands of active people who have liked that page. Also another plus if there isn’t one that exists in your niche, then you can make one yourself for free!
Here’s an example:
This is an example of a Facebook Page that is specifically targeted to chihuahuas. There are hundreds of thousands of dedicated Facebook Pages in all topics, as you probably already know.
If I were in the dog niche, this would be a great page to contribute to because there are 25,526 members, there are active members posting daily liking and sharing, and there are people asking questions all the time. If this were my niche, I would want to contribute to the conversations as much as I could and get myself known as the expert.
This is not an overnight strategy. It does take some time…but eventually after posting every day, I will get known and I will start to see traffic.
This is how it works.
Note: The method is not about spamming a million groups. It’s about picking a few that you contribute great information to often. There’s a big difference!
You want to find a home base – a place you are comfortable posting to, a place that has tons of members (and new members coming in) and a place where people need help in the topic that you sell products in!
One AMAZING option is Facebook Groups (not pages).
Facebook Groups are even better these days because groups are more of a community and you need to join groups and be accepted if you want to interact inside of them. Groups are much different than Facebook pages because with groups it’s generally people who really care about the topic and want to be involved with discussions whereas Facebook pages are more general.
I can like a Facebook page that talks about gourmet recipes but that doesn’t ever mean I would want to make a gourmet dish. However, If one joins a gourmet recipe group, you can probably bet on the person being really interested in the topic and wanting more information and wanting to interact!
Paid groups are even better because now you are dealing with people who spend money on the topic! There are so many advantages in that itself, but we won’t get too far into that right now in this post.
Google Plus Communities
Google Plus Communities are awesome. Although Google Plus is not as popular as Facebook, it’s still a great place for targeted traffic.
Look at this Photography community: 2,034,224 Members!!! Think you can make some targeted connections there if your niche is photography? I think so!
And finally, one more example: Forums.
Forums have been around since the dinosaurs. 🙂
Forums are a great place to interact with other members. Lots of friendships could be made (and have been made) on forums.
I will use the forums example to show the biggest problem with the TTT Method.
The Problem With The TTT Method (The Old Way)
While this strategy is timeless and it works, there’s a huge problem.
So again, the overall goal is to interact with people and get massive traffic on the backs of these groups, pages and forums that already have tons of targeted people in them.
The problem is that it’s kind of left to chance that people will actually click on your links leading to your optins and sales pages.
You kind of need to post a lot and cross your fingers that people will click on your links.
Take the Warrior Forum, for example.
People post on this site all day long and they strategically put information in their signature hoping people will find interest and click. So what happens?
People just post to get their signature exposed (see the signature example above). Makes sense right?
A lot of the time the information shared is junk and it doesn’t contribute to the world of adding great content. It contributes to spam and wasted internet space. Actually, the post above was pretty good though, so there are some exceptions.
There’s got to be a better way….and we found it!
Monetizing The TTT Method: (The Better Way)
The only way to make this strategy better is to make sure you are posting awesome content all the time.
You want to be the one sharing amazing strategies with your community in these groups so people can take into action right away on the help you are providing them! Anything other than that is spam and a waste of precious time!
What if you could share any amount of information in the world (whether it was your own or not) but still benefit from it monetarily?
What if you can share content that wasn’t your own and provide awesome value and still get new subscribers?
Well, now you can!
Let’s go back to our chihuahua example from above.
I went over to Google and did a search for: “when to neuter a chihuahua” and here’s the first article I found. It’s very detailed and informative.
What if you can share this article and still get traffic to your site and build your list? How cool would that be?
Here’s how you can do it and it’s using a simple tool called Birdsong.
Watch this quick video to show you how to do it!

What would be the #1 reason to switch to Birdsong from snip.ly or StartaFire?
Ben Adkins says
Those apps don’t overtake the screen completely and testing shows that, when used correctly the way Birdsong does the overlay increased optins.
Also… when someone has opted in or hit the “X” they go back to the article they were reading instead of being led off site.
Test Birdsong for a month and see the difference for yourself.
Every business is different so we always suggest split testing to see what works best. In our testing Birdsong far outperformed anything else we’ve used.
