Facebook Retargeting Cheatsheet [Infographic]

October 9, 2014 by Debbie Drum 2 Comments

There are so many reasons why people don’t take action when they see an ad or visit a website. In fact, 96% of people leave a website without taking action. That’s a huge percentage of people.

What if I told you there was a way you can re-engage those people and re-introduce them to your offers? There is a way and that is called Retargeting and it’s a very powerful and lucrative strategy. If you are just forgetting about website visitors (or just letting people leave your website) without somehow trying to get them back – you are missing out on a lot of subscribers, sales and future sales.

With retargeting you can get in front of interested people again and craft messages that make them take action fast.

We put together a cheatsheet on what exactly retargeting is, why every marketer should be using it, how to use it and tips to remember when using the retargeting strategy.

Be sure to bookmark this page so that you can always refer back to it when you are making your retargeting ads. The exciting part is that it is really hard NOT to make money with this strategy, so be sure to implement it as quickly as possible!

Retargeting is an area that I’m missing out on additional dollars in my eCommerce business. When you’re retargeting someone to your offer is it best to give them the same offer first and then if they take no action try to retarget with a better offer…or just to bring a slightly better offer with the initial retargeting ad in hopes of encouraging them to convert?

      Keep it simple.
Why did they visit the page in the first place?
If the first ad was very open and transparent about the product/page they were visiting…. use a similar ad.
They “raised their hand” and told you they were interested with the click.
They just need an additional push.

If the initial way they got to the page wasn’t transparent, it’s alot harder.
